This Easter Sunday, Seva Equitable had the great honor of serving a nourishing and joyful meal to our neighbors at the soup kitchen at St. John the Divine. It was a day filled with warmth, gratitude, and community spirit—none of it would have been possible without the generous support of BNY, our dedicated donors, and the incredible volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the day so special. We served over 250 clients!

Thanks to your contributions, we served rotisserie chicken and apple berry pie from Costco—the base for a delicious and comforting meal that brought smiles to many faces. In addition to the food, we distributed personal hygiene kits, helping our clients feel cared for in both body and spirit.

We are especially thankful for the amazing volunteers who showed up early, rolled up their sleeves, and worked tirelessly to prepare, serve, and connect with our clients. From assembling meals to cutting chicken to decorating the space with thoughtful touches like our Easter menu and inspiration board, every act of service helped create a meaningful experience for all.

This effort was about more than a holiday meal. It was about dignity, community, and showing up for one another in times of need. For many of our clients, this Easter meal was not just nourishment—it was a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

We extend our deepest thanks to BNY, whose financial support was essential in making this event happen. Your generosity laid the foundation for everything that followed. We are also incredibly grateful to our returning supporters, the new donors who joined our mission this year, and every volunteer who made this a day to remember.

From everyone at Seva Equitable and the clients we serve—thank you for helping us bring compassion to the table this Easter.

Let’s continue to spread love, one meal at a time.

Warmly,
The Seva Equitable Team

Here are some snapshots from Easter 2025—though no number of photos can fully capture the joy, care, and heart our volunteers brought to make the day so special!
