This Black History Month, Seva Equitable brought extra warmth and joy to the soup kitchen by providing special treats for our clients on several Sundays throughout the month. In addition to nourishing meals, we wanted to honor the rich history and contributions of Black leaders, activists, and changemakers.
We placed an inspiring Black History Month message on the menu board each week, reminding everyone of the power of kindness, resilience, and justice. From quotes about standing up against inequality to messages of unity and compassion, we used this space to encourage reflection and celebration.
Seva Equitable’s mission is to foster inclusivity and support for all, and we were honored to bring this small but meaningful gesture to the soup kitchen.
